Week 20/21 Predictions
We are back on the grind after a Gold Cup groups stage rest.
While the USMNT and CMNT advance through the knockout rounds with Honduras, Mexico, Costa Rica, Jamaica, and others, their players will miss out on MLS matches happening simultaneously. Of course, knowing this, our team was thrown for a loop on a few matchups this week.
And, of course, there are LOADS of matches kicking off this week.
We start in Montreal and finish in Seattle, fourteen different teams hosting a match between tonight and Sunday evening. With the plethora of home teams playing, at least one Total MLS staff member has picked all but one team to win a match (the only team with no voted confidence is Colorado). Surprisingly, only one match of the 18 being played was chosen with one unanimous victor, Portland against Real Salt Lake (more surprising as so few of us made predictions this week).
The intensity between Atlanta United and Orlando City seems to have trickled into our picks, as no one is quite sure what to make of this affair. Meanwhile, in New York City, we were equally perplexed as to who would reign atop the East after both Toronto and Chicago pay separate visits.
