Impact of Copa and Euro on MLS Teams

The Copa America squads have been announced and the UEFA Euro squads are beginning to finalize and as a result, much conversation and speculation will be had over which nations will perform well and which will ultimately disappoint.

However, this is Total MLS, and these tournaments mean only as much to us as it does to the teams of our beloved league losing players during this international window. So which teams are losing whom, and how long can we expect them to be missing?

The dates corresponding to their respective players are slightly speculative, as we do not know precisely when players will leave their clubs to board their planes, or when they’ll return.

Of course there are the possibilities of teams having international call-ups for friendlies in this time period as well. However, for the two major tournaments, these are the names you can expect to see absent from their respective squads.

(* The assumption that USA/CRC/PAR are able to advance from the group stage as runners up, yet fail to beat Brazil in the first elimination round.)
