Atlanta United have traded for Chicago Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson. The Fire have received General Allocation Money in compensation. Atlanta have then traded Johnson to NYCFC for General Allocation Money and Targeted Allocation Money.
Johnson, 27, comes to the Bronx after spending his entire 7 year MLS career with the Fire. A 4th round draft pick in 2010, Johnson has represented the United States at various youth levels and has 5 caps for the senior national team.
